McGraw wows crowds ahead of new album release.

Okay, so it’s been a decade since Tim McGraw released A Place In the Sun, that doesn’t mean he’s left it. In fact, that classic is about to be augmented by a new release, McGraw’s first of new material since 2007’s Let It Go, and it’s going to be just as warm and sunny.

You’ve probably already heard the first single from the forthcoming Southern Voice, due out October 20, and if not, climb out from under your rock and take a listen to “It’s a Business Doing Pleasure With You”.
It’s a rave-up country rocker about a man whose significant other is bleeding him white with fancy outfits, shoes, jewelry and more.

“But when you turn your kind of magic on / Honey I just can’t say no,” McGraw croons, and a several million male listeners immediately identify with the tune. One wonders though if the songwriter was familiar with the same line as the title, spoken by Miss Mona Stangley in Best Little Whorehouse in Texas. Likely she meant something entirely different. Or perhaps not.

Regardless, expect McGraw to keep cranking out the good times. He’s slated to kick off the Pittsburgh Steelers world championship defense season later this week, leading up to the season-opening tilt between the champs and the Tennessee Titans. McGraw will be joined by the Black Eyed Peas at the Pepsi-Cola Roadhouse on September 9.

And while you’re there be sure to stay on your best behavior. McGraw’s been known to personally eject rowdy concert-goers, and makes no secret of his rule to treat others with respect while you’re there.
